# Share Links

> Post a coin with your referral link attached, or a ready-made buy or sell anyone can tap.

Every token panel has a 🔗 **Share** button. It turns the coin into something you can post, with your [referral link](/rewards/referrals) built in.

Anyone who trades through it becomes your referral, and you earn a share of the fees they pay from then on — not just on that trade.

## The three kinds

Buy and sell links are the **Quick Trade** options on the Share screen. Choose the amount or the percentage, and Dawn gives you a card to post.

## Posting it

**↗️ Share** lets you pick any chat and posts the card straight into it. The bot does not need to be a member of that chat for this to work.

You can also copy the link and paste it anywhere at all — X, a blog, a DM.

## What happens when someone taps

This is the part worth being precise about, because it sounds alarming and is not.

| Whose decision      | **Theirs.** Nothing happens to anyone who does not tap.                                                |

| How much            | Never more than **their own** [auto-buy amount](/settings/overview#auto-buy), whatever your link says. |
| If they have it off | The link just opens the coin for them to decide.                                                       |

A tapper who has [Group links](/social/group-links) switched off — which is the default — sees the coin's panel and nothing more.

  You cannot spend anyone else's money with a share link, and no amount you set overrides the cap they chose for themselves.

## Making them work

* **Post the coin, not the link.** A card with a chart and a price gets tapped; a bare referral URL does not.
* **Size the buy for the room.** A \$5 buy link converts far better than a \$500 one.
* **Use [separate codes](/rewards/codes)** for different places, so you can see which is actually working.

  You earn when the people you bring in trade. Pushing a coin you hold into a group you are also trading in is a conflict of interest, and people notice. Say what you hold.
