# PnL Banners

> Turn a position into an image you can post.

A PnL banner is a picture of one position's result, rendered as an image you can forward, post or save.

## Make one

    From the [token panel](/trading/token-panel) of a coin you hold, or from the card Dawn sends after you sell out of one.

    Dawn asks how you want the result shown.

  <Step title="Pick a format">
    | Format      | Shows                                 |
    | ----------- | ------------------------------------- |
    | **Percent** | The gain or loss as a percentage only |
    | **Dollars** | The dollar figures as well            |

    Percent is the one to use in public. It says how the trade went without saying how much you were trading.

    The image arrives in your chat. Nothing is shared anywhere until you share it.

## Open and closed positions

| From                   | Shows                                           |
| ---------------------- | ----------------------------------------------- |
| A coin you still hold  | The position as it stands, at the current price |
| A coin you sold out of | The finished result, across every sell it took  |

If **Fees in PnL** is on in [settings](/settings/overview#trading), the banner reflects it too.

  **One card at a time.** Ask for another within a few seconds and Dawn asks you to wait a moment.

## Sharing it with your link

A banner is an image on its own. To share the coin *and* earn from whoever buys it, use the panel's **Share** button instead — that produces a card with your referral link attached. See [Share links](/social/share-links).
