Glossary - Dawn

Term	What it means
2FA	A second check — an authenticator code, a passkey or an SMS code — before a send goes out or a key is exported. Never asked for a trade.
Approve	Confirming a send or withdrawal yourself in the wallet app.
Auto Buy	Pasting a contract address buys a fixed amount immediately. Off by default.
Auto-Adjust	Shrinks a buy you cannot afford to what your balance covers, instead of refusing it.
Balance	Your spendable USDC. Every trade comes out of it and every sell goes back into it.
Bonding curve	The launchpad market a coin trades on before it graduates to a normal pool.
Bundle	Several wallets’ Solana buys or sells sent as one transaction, at one price, all or nothing.
Callout	A trader’s written case for a coin, posted on pump.fun, GMGN or nearly.trade. Dawn can post yours.
Cashback	A share of your own trading fee, returned to you. How much depends on your tier.
Cashback coin	A coin that pays a share of every trade back to whoever traded it.
Confluence alert	A message when several traders you watch buy the same coin within a time frame you set. Nothing is bought for you.
Copytrade	Following a wallet so that its buys, and optionally its sells, are placed from your own wallet too.
Cost basis	What you actually paid for the tokens you still hold.
DCA	Buying a fixed amount on a repeating schedule. Driven by time, not price.
Degen Mode	100% slippage and no liquidity protection on buys.
Dev Sell	An automatic sell once a coin’s dev has sold a share of their own holding.
Dex paid	The team bought this coin’s DexScreener profile. A sign that someone spent money on the listing, not a sign of safety.
Dust	A position too small to be worth anything, usually hidden by a filter.
fomo	fomo.family, a social trading app. Dawn can copy or follow a fomo trader from their handle alone.
Gas	What the network charges to process a transaction. Dawn pays it, up to $5 a trade.
Gas Surplus	How much gas above that $5 you allow a trade to charge you.
Graduated	A coin that has left its launchpad curve and now trades on a normal pool.
Honeypot	A coin you can buy but not sell. Dawn warns before a buy of one it flags.
Ladder	Several orders spread across a market-cap range.
Leader	The wallet a copytrade task follows.
Leg	One part of a private withdrawal, paid out on its own by an exchange.
Limit order	A buy or sell that waits for a market cap you set.
Liquidity	How much money is in a coin’s pool. Thin liquidity means your own trade moves the price.
Market cap	What the whole supply of a coin is worth. Every order target in Dawn is set against this.
MEV	Value extracted by reordering transactions — a bot buying in front of you and selling into your trade.
MEV protection	Sending Solana trades and Ethereum sells through a private lane so nobody can do that. On by default.
Mirror sells	A copytrade setting: when the leader sells a share of a coin, you sell the same share of yours.
Missed copy	A copy Dawn skipped because the price was already further above the leader’s entry than your slippage allows.
PnL	Profit and loss.
Portfolio weighted	A copytrade size: the same share of your portfolio as the leader put in of theirs.
Price alert	A message when a coin reaches a market cap or price you set. Nothing is traded.
Price impact	How far your own trade moves the price. Set by your size against the liquidity.
Private withdrawal	A withdrawal routed through Husher and paid out by exchanges in legs, so it can’t be traced back to your wallet.
Profile	A set of trading settings shared by its wallets. Up to 5.
Realised	Profit you have banked by selling. It will not move again.
Reverse copytrade	A copytrade task that buys the coins the leader sells.
Rung	One order in a ladder.
Sandwich	A bot buying before your trade and selling after it, taking the difference.
Slippage	How far the price may move against you before a trade is refused. Default 15%.
Stop loss	An automatic sell after a fall.
Take profit	An automatic sell after a rise.
Task	One followed trader in copytrade, with its own name, size and settings.
Tax	A charge written into a coin’s own contract, taken on every buy or sell.
Thesis	A trader’s written case for a coin, posted on fomo. On pump.fun, GMGN and nearly.trade it is a callout.
Tracker	The page listing the traders you get alerts on — 🔔 Alerts → 👥 Traders on the home screen.
Trader alert	A message when a trader you follow buys, sells or posts a thesis. Nothing is bought for you.
Trailing stop	A stop loss whose level follows the highest price up and never moves down.
Trailing take profit	A take profit that starts at a level you set, then sells once the price falls a set distance from its high.
TWAP	One order split into small trades spread over a duration you choose.
Unrealised	Profit on coins you still hold. It moves with the price.
Wallet	One EVM address and one Solana address, with their own balance, positions and orders. Up to 5 per profile.
Wallet manager	The mini app inside Telegram where keys are imported and exported, sends are approved, 2FA is set up, a card deposit starts and you sign in to pump.fun.
Worth	What a position would be valued at right now. An estimate, not a guaranteed sale price.
