Dawn has two separate ladders. You sit on a rung of each, and they are reached in different ways.

Cashback tier

Set by your own 30-day trading volume. Decides how much of every fee you pay comes back to you.

Referral tier

Set by the 30-day volume of the people you invited directly. Decides your Level 1 share.
Your own trading never moves your referral tier, and your network never moves your cashback tier.

Cashback ladder

Seven rungs, on your own 30-day volume. The effective fee is what a 1% trading fee actually costs you once cashback is back in your pocket.

Referral ladder

Five rungs, on the 30-day volume of your direct invites. Only Level 1 climbs; the two levels below it are flat at every tier.
The two ladders do not share their rung names. There is no Copper or Ultra on the referral side, and Ruby sits at $85k of your own volume but $450k of referred volume. Being Gold on one says nothing about the other.
Referral shares are taken from the fee left after the trader’s own cashback — see what the share is taken from.

How the window works

Both ladders read a rolling 30-day window. Each day, volume from more than 30 days ago drops out and the tier is recalculated, so your rung follows recent activity rather than a lifetime total.
Dropping a rung changes what you earn from now on. Everything already credited stays yours — moving down never claws anything back.

Where to see yours

Open Rewards. Each ladder shows your current rung, the next one, and how far along you are. Earnings from both land in one claimable balance — minimum $5, once an hour. See claiming.
