Who holds the keys

Dawn does not. Your wallets are created and held by Privy, which signs on your instruction.
  • Each wallet has its own private key. There is no shared seed phrase, so one key never exposes another.
  • You can export any key at any time — see Import and export.
  • Exporting changes nothing else. The wallet keeps working in Dawn.
Your login is your Telegram account. Protecting that account is the single most important thing you can do.
Turn on Two-Step Verification in Telegram: Settings → Privacy and Security → Two-Step Verification. Without it, anyone who takes over your phone number takes over your Telegram, and with it your Dawn account.

What Dawn will never ask for

Support is reached through @DawnContactBot and asks for none of these. Treat anyone who does — including an account using the Dawn name and logo — as an impostor.

Every trade is checked against what you approved

Before a trade is sent, Dawn confirms it still matches the quote you were shown. If it has drifted — a different amount, a different destination, less coming back than you agreed — it is refused rather than sent. You see this as a trade that fails safely instead of one that fills badly.

Archiving is not deleting

Archiving a wallet removes it from your list. It does not sell its coins, revoke anything, or cancel its orders. The keys stay with Privy and restoring brings everything back. If you want to leave, export the keys first. Then the wallet is yours independently of Dawn.

Risks Dawn cannot remove

The token panel shows a coin’s market — its market cap, liquidity, holders and how it has been trading. None of that makes a coin safe.
A contract can be written to let its deployer mint more supply, freeze your balance, block selling, or raise its tax after you buy. Many memecoins are built exactly this way. A clean panel means nothing was detected, not that nothing is there.
See Read the token panel for what each signal does and does not mean.
